He posted the monkey as a reaction image, but the media is just gonna run with the racist narrative? 🤔
Dude called that a “surprised reaction monkey” or whatever
But the monkey isn’t even surprised

What’s the reaction? It doesn’t really look like it’s even reacting to anything
Dude knew what he was doing with this, I think he knew he could have plausible deniability imo

as a white person you have to be aware of the s*** you do that could be construed as racism lol
this very well could be just him using a reaction pic, but how do u live as an adult in the year of 2023 (in the entertainment industry) and not understand the context of “monkey” and “black person” in the same sentence
bro is just an idiot
Nah he do look like a monkey tho racism aside
Nothing beats seeing dumb posts catch that real fresh, straight out the oven ban

I don’t like this logic. Yeah maybe he’s an idiot but it’s lame of people to jump to conclusions like that.

He might not have intended it but he gets no say in how someone reacts to something he said/did.

That’s what the people did about Abel when the rolling stone article came out and now it’s wrong when they do it about this guy?

As a journalist in 2023, you should be very well aware that using anything involving a monkey, ape, gorilla, etc. in reference to a black person will immediately be seen as racism. There’s no excuse for that

This is a great statement. I think maybe he didn’t think it would catch traction, but he should’ve been aware based off who he was talking to alone

That’s not the point tho. This journalist is very likely not racist but the media is portraying him as that. It’s obvious he used that image as a reaction. His livelihood is at risk and he’s probably receiving death threats. “Should have known better” isn’t an excuse to ruin this guys life.
