Kinda mystified by some of the promotional f***ups on Republic's end tbh.

Weeknd has had a very successful era so it doesn't really matter but the timing for music videos and promo has been really off this era. Blinding Lights went without a music video for months, yet In Your Eyes got one a few days after the album came out and it was immediately sent to radio which was obviously jumping the gun.

The album is great but I dont think there are any smash hits left. And Blinding Lights is still very high on the charts and has become his signature song. The song will probably die after summer

Always thought Save Your Tears or Scare To Live were the better choices as singles tbh, choosing Doja for the remix was a bad decision also

Never got why they released it as a single when Blinding Lights was (is) still dominating the charts/radio
