Why the f*** did no one mention Action Bronson
I cringed when he came on screen
Glad it wasn't for me. My eyes would have probably bled if I saw it in a theater without a break.

All the real ones already seen so now the plebs are coming out of the woodworks

if ur complaining about a movie being 3.5 hrs, i doubt it lmao
Love De Niro in this but Pesci was fire and Pacino was amazing in a very specific way. This movie really fired on all cylinders. The shot of Jo Hoffa almost turning the car on may be one of my favorites ever.
I was the bigggest QT fan coming up.
But Once Upon a Time felt way too long at 2.5, while The Irishman felt like it could have kept going at 3.5 and I would be very happy. I watched it in two parts so maybe that’s partly why but as a movie the pacing and content is just perfect for how long the movie is.

would I be called a pled for saying that watching paint dry is boring ?

This movie is literally paced as fast as Goodfellas up to the Detroit sequence so that Is a laughable statement
Just watched the whole thing through like a real f***ing man. God this was amazing. 6/5

The fact that it's slow paced is really not up for debate (it is slower paced than Goodfellas) and the last hour could have been trimmed down considerably. The runtime is not really warranted tbh, it's nothing more than Marty just jacking off to himself (not that there is anything wrong with that).

The runtime is definitely warranted and the last hour is literally what makes this film one of the greatest American movies oat
The first hour and a half is literally paced like Goodfellas so that is a false statement
Marty’s best work has come from this decade. His old stuff just feels too straightforward after seeing what he’s been capable of with these films
