That’s why it’s good this movie takes it differently
Just because they did it differently doesn’t mean its good.
I understand it’s easy to handwave it away with the unreliable narrator but even knowing that (which I already did) it still doesn’t make the breakdown of his relationship with Peggy significant to me. They never seemed close anyway, even before Frank became a wiseguy. The real tragedy seemed to be the breakdown of Frank’s relationship with Hoffa.
It’s a creative choice that I can understand but when the film is that long and the final act is heavily reliant on that hitting home it fell a bit flat to me.
But that’s just me.
nah somehow every thread ends up either attacking each other or talking about Disney
Sounds like tv and film

this is what deniro actually looks like.. that deaging s*** crazy
Yeah some deaging scenes looked great. But that scene where the kicks the grocery store guy looked soo bad. Clearly old man movements.

Yeah I agree that Frank's relationship with his family wasn't detailed much at all, so I only really felt something with the Jimmy situation. Frank really had no personality or clear goals, his only trait was how subservient he was to Jimmy (until he's not anymore).
Lowkey sad ass movie bro
Felt as if I had seen Silence all over again
How’s Adam Driver in that
How’s Adam Driver in that
Both Garfield and Driver have an amazing performance

MY MAN GARFIELD IN IT TOO
he should’ve got SOMETHING for Hacksaw Ridge 😫😫
Damn really need to get on Silence ASAP
Loved the movie, but it seemed no amount of anti-aging stuff could get rid of de niros old man scowl
Such little character development like am I supposed to give a s*** about any of these characters you haven't set it up for me to care
How’s Adam Driver in that
Incredible, they really should have switched his and andrew’s roles

Honestly surprised felt like there was zero substance to this movie for me
Anyone read the book I Heard You Paint Houses? Has some neat details so far
Just ordered it

It’s the most substantial film in this genre since The Godfather saga and this has arguably more substance than all 3 of those films combined
How old was De Niro supposed to be in this lmao
Covers him from his 20s to 90s I think
Most of the film though is set when Hes around 40-60
The deaging is incredible but yeah it’s clear through body shape and movement they are way older lol in the younger moments
But stuff like that diner shootout is perfection

No, clearly everybody hated it just as much as you did.
