    Look at the types of jobs niggas are job hopping. It’s fast food/retail jobs. High turnover is expected.

    goes without saying, but different careers have different trajectories.

    job hopping is law of the land for my field. i've worked 3 jobs in the past year and never stayed past 6 months for any of them. my current job is probably going to be the first that i stay for a year, but idk because i've already gotten another offer lmao.

    this girl i'm talking to is a teacher though, and building tenure is going to be way more important for her career.

    nah, i'm a software dev working full-time now. though two of my past jobs were contracts. left the last one early though

    from april 2020 to now, i went from:

    front-end webdev ($30k + college credit) --> T2 helpdesk ($40k) --> application developer ($70k + $20k bump after i get a clearance).

    who's job hopping? i've seen like maybe 2-3 threads on it

    most people that say they just quit on the spot or find jobs easily seem to be guys that worked in the fast food/retail industry, but i may be wrong

    in that specific instance, i was really just doing mostly wordpress at the time so it wasn't hard at all.

    but in general front-end is deceptively frustrating lol, especially at a high seniority level. front-end engineers earn every cent of their money IMO.

    i definitely prefer working on the backend myself. if you sneeze on something in the front-end it'll break. and i deal less with clients so that's a plus too.
