Smacked VoodooThis high key true. Like part of kinda gets it, yeah I suppose you do more than rap. But at the same time...what's wrong with being labeled as a rapper? Is there some sort of shame in it? Everybody wanna be called an artist or a rockstar, but getting called a rapper ain't right?
There's no shame to it it's just reality same reason MJ is the king of pop but also elevated beyond just pop.
Same way Prince is elevated beyond rock and r&b and Queen and other groups.
Some people are great in there lane so much we recognize them for it like Pusha T. Others are able to do alot of lanes like Andre 3k and that gets another mention.
