It’s not like Japan is about to buy up more copies when it releases WW and I bet is sells more PS worldwide than Switch lol
So now you’re being a clown. You’re gonna try to compare niche series that were used as examples of PS wide range of catering to the JRPG genre over the years to compare sales 😂 — Then you tried to twist what I said about the biggest JRPGs not being on the SWITCH(Minus Pokemon)— never said exclusive. I said they weren’t on the switch. I can’t make Monster Hunter: World, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Persona 5 Royal, Yakuza VII, etc...I can’t make them appear on the NSW. I named several jrpgs that were on PS/XB. How you took it exclusive is beyond me.
Furthermore, I proved it marginally outsold the ps4 copies in the area you said it would perform best. Where more people are playing switches right?....yeah? If your whole argument is that it’ll sell a few thousand more copies then
But the fact is the place you said it’ll perform the best it was barely better. When it’s released worldwide what do you expect? Lol
How am i being a clown? Xenoblade chronicles was niche before it came to the switch so its right i can compare it with the other niche series on the playstation. Xenoblade on ps4 woudlnt have reached a million sales cause many games who had the same popularity xenoblade had before the switch release havent reached that mark. Fire emblem sold more than every game you mentioned besides the remake of one of the most popular jrpg games of all time. Octopath traveler, an average, classic jrpg was able to hit the one million mark with almost no marketing. Also, monster hunter games to me shouldnt count cause they dont have turn based combat (you could say that's not what defines a jrpg but all the other examples we both listed have turn based so it wouldnt be fair, otherwise i could list the mh games that came on switch and pokemon and it wouldnt be fair).
Switch is 4 years younger, has a smaller install base than ps4 but a 1 year old jrpg sold more than 90% of them.
Ending with this, smt unfortunately is less popular outside of japan and we both know it, maybe persona 5 fans could consider playing it but thats the only fanbase besides huge jrpg fans like you sony has, and now that ps5 is out, plus the average sony fan doesnt know nocturne is coming out while every nintendo fan has seen the nocturne trailer at least. Adding to that, switch can count on xenoblade, octopath, fire emblem and persona 5 port beggars fanbase which sure share a lot of players but they all sold a lot. The main difference is ps4 owners in Japan know what smt is cause its a famous series there, in the west not so much so the difference wont be just a few thousand sales
Fam you need to calm down either way. I’m not out to get you
Im the calm one, you called me a clown
I like having these discussion so im not mad, sorry if i looked that way to you. Im actually happy this thread is active
“The average Sony...” vs “Every Nintendo fan has seen the trailer at least....” lol aight i’m done

Whats the issue with that claim dude, how many ps4 owners have played an rpg besides persona 5 and ff7r which is not turn based by the way!
Also yes every nintendo fan has seen the trailer because it was the first direct after months of nothing, causals even complained we "only" got smt trailers!
I want to remind you ktt jrpg thread isnt the whole demographic of players and jrpg players are still a minority as shown by the numbers!

No. Sorry, a lot of switch owners dont know or care about nocturne.
Furthermore you think playstation consumers only play P5 and FF
You want to remind me the ktt jrpg thread isnt the whole demo. Lol right because I insinuated that
I’ll remind you you’re a whole clown though lol
Everything you have to say is some loser s***. People who play ps dont play jrpgs or turn based jrpgs. Yet it has the best jrpg catalog, then every NSW owner gives a damn about series we already know is niche just because it was on the direct then your “let me remind you” bit i’m dead.
“how many ps4 owners have played an rpg besides persona 5 and ff7r”
FF came out last year & Persona 5 5 years ago. Wtf rpg has PS4 users been playing the last generation

Same goes for ps4 users, because ps users haven't had a smt game in more than 10 years while the last smt title switch fans got was tokyo mirage sessions.
Furthermore, i keep saying jrpg thread aint the whole demographic because you tryna make jrpgs on ps4 bigger than they already are without proof. I told you ps4 has many jrpg titles cause Nintendo released the Worst selling console since nintendo was founded and xbox one not only wasnt a commercial success but its jrpg fanbase is non existent. That's why ps4 has more jrpgs, and also because it released 4 years before the switch. Which doesnt even matter cause having a lot of jrpgs =/= jrpgs selling a lot cause they dont, even tho they are exclusively on ps4, while jrpgs exclusively on nintendo switch have sold way more, even series that before the switch launched were considered niche, with the biggest example being xenoblade chronicles, of which the first game released at the very end of wii's life with no marketing thus having sold few copies compared to the million it surprisingly reached on the switch. If smt V, a game from a very niche series were released on the ps4 it wouldnt reach the sales it would on the switch because numbers show the rpgs Nintendo exclusively publishes are more supported.
Also, while sony couldnt care less about investing money into releasing persona 5 royal, the definitive edition of a now huge series simultaneously in japan and in the west while Nintendo is doing that with smt V shows nintendo is more willing than sony to invest in exclusives since exclusives the main reason people own a switch.
Lastly, since smt is vastly more popular in japan, and switch is the biggest console in japan, and sony is starting to not give a s*** about japan, smt v is inevitably gonna sell more on a Nintendo Switch. Dragon quest xi, the biggest series behind pokemon in japan, sold more on an old console replaced by the switch, the 3ds, than the fresh and performance wise better ps4, with portability being a big reason to this fact, something the switch shares with the 3ds. And to this day, most sales for dragon quest XI come from japan, as its obviosuly way, WAY bigger in japan than in the west
Before calling me a clown try to prove everything ive said wrong and dont just use "lol ur a clown" or "ps4 has more jrpgs" to disprove everything ive said.
Console wars
If you read the posts you'd see we werent arguing ps4 vs switch!
