Anti-vaxxers selfish af
Not taking "risks" for the benefit of others
Couldn't be me
except there practically zero risks to taking the vaccine besides some mild side effects that last less than a day
Why waste a transplant on someone who isn't doing everything in their power to prepare their body for it?
So smokers and obese people to right?
By their same logic the hospitals could turn away the poor , d*** addicts , homeless or those that refused any medicine . They think they are virtue signaling by wanting everyone to get the vaccine but viewing unvaccinated as lesser beings says everything about them I need to know
except there practically zero risks to taking the vaccine besides some mild side effects that last less than a day
Exactly
If you’re in favor of universal health care there’s no logical way you can say they should
No. Fact of the matter is that our government does extremely evil things to the populace. Has, does, will. I don't blame anyone for being extremely skeptical about being forced to inject something that's demonstrably harmed people. This sets a super dangerous precedent.
And I'm not an anti-vaxxer...I waited until I felt comfortable getting the vaccine. I'm double vaxxed (no booster because it hasn't been 6 months since dose #2) and I was diagnosed with covid 8 days ago. Had a smooth recovery.

you don't trust the doctors in the first place so why are you getting medical treatment at a hospital if you won't get a vaccine.
I talked to my doctor when I got diagnosed with covid and asked him how necessary the booster would be for me. I expected him to sound like y'all and tell me to go get all of the jabs asap.
Instead, he had a very nuanced approach and talked about the risk a***ysis given my situation, omicron, and what it'd mean if there's a new strain by the time I'd be booster-eligible. He didn't outright say not to get it, but also wasn't necessarily pro-booster. That convo went way further in leading me to respect and trust him than the coercive methods y'all be trying on the internet.

My response was for those who aren't vaccinated and still want to get an organ transplant. Transplant recipients follow a strict set of rules to make sure that their bodies are prepared for the transplant. Vaccinations are apart of those requirements - long before COVID was a thing.
Does it make sense to give a healthy organ to someone whose healthcare choices will likely cause that organ to fail?
No
stop asking this s*** on this site, there have been other threads with the same question and 30 pages of people hating on each other as a result.
Yes they should
if u cant have a heart and do the right thing for your fellow compatriots then why should you get a heart?
If you are not willing to give a heart to someone who can’t have a heart, then you don’t have a heart either, but I would still give you a heart because I do have a heart 🤍

lol gay
So smokers and obese people to right?
Smokers have to have quit smoking for 6 months before they can get a lung transplant
So yes you got it buddy
Y’all keep saying “turn away” like these fools simply need some antibiotics
We’re talking about organ transplants lol, which we have a limited supply of.
So yes y’all are right homeless people shouldn’t get transplants. People that don’t get their flu shots shouldn’t get transplants. People that keep smoking shouldn’t get transplants. Alcoholics that can’t quit drinking shouldn’t be getting new livers.
Until we can clone organs and s*** then yes you don’t deserve the organ if you’re not going to do everything you can to live healthily with it when someone else will. On top of that your body is already going to be immunocompromised taking in a new organ

flu shots...
flu shots...
Better to not say anything then to make another dumbass comment about smokers

Smokers can still still resume smoking after transplant. Having to take a covid vaccine to get a transplant doesn't even make sense.

People shouldn't be turned away from healthcare do you not believe its a human right? 😳

It makes perfect sense, your body is going to be immunocompromised after you get a new organ. You’ll literally be taking medicine to suppress your immune system from attacking the organ.
So yes making sure your body has protection from vaccines makes perfect sense
People shouldn't be turned away from healthcare do you not believe its a human right? 😳
Healthcares a human right but choosing to not get a vaccine is also a choice not to receive the organ. You don’t have a human right to waste an organ that could save someone else’s life.
