Y’all needa stop getting mad at the lack of famous movies 😭 it’s not like history is working its way towards a final ‘objective’ list of great films
I’m glad a relatively obscure pick like Daisies is getting it’s due
I'm on board with underseen foreign films getting shine but can we make them the good ones (not Daisies)
holy s*** didnt realize lavventura dropped out
Antonioni has much better films imo
How is there not a single Disney classic? That’s insane.
Or even Pixar. Toy Story basically brought about the death of 2D animation in film.
Also Grave of the Fireflies 100% should be there as well.
Pinocchio and Bambi are undeniable masterpieces to me. Fantasia also comes from the pre military, pure art era of Disney.

Have you seen this? Also p good. I’d maybe put it on my ballot but the director is more well known for The Cremator

It’s crazy. Not only that, but I feel like they’re among the most timeless films of that era.
Lot of people straight up actively refuse to watch anything prior to the 70s, but Disney classics from that 30s-40s era consistently defy that attitude.
very disappointed they have 2 Miyazaki films which aren't as good as Mononoke
Should have been Kiki
Threads like these is when niggas pretentious side comes out. Stop acting above others just cause niggas wanted to see Tarantino or Coens on this list. Movies isn’t just about new French wave or watching a lady peel a potato for 10 minutes.
watch more films , you sound goofy af
Early but I predict Lav Diaz and Pedro Costa for next decade’s list
juleen compton guaranteed. i've been waiting to see her films for f***ing ages and finally they're coming out on blu.
As much as I love Bergman, I’m glad some of his stuff got booted for new directors. There’s too much good stuff to just name the same names again and again
On a related note, I’m pretty sure the full list is like 50% French and Italian. I‘d easily cut a Godard or Fellini (same rationale as above) for a Jia Zhangke, Tsai Ming-liang, or Kim Ki-duk
Platform should have made the list. And yes where tf is Tsai Ming Liang

Not yet looks great though - yet to see Cremator too
The real reason Coens are missing is because they have too many good films. Unfortunate but true. Too much split the votes
It’s the same reason Edward Yang and Godard didn’t get anything too high of the list
Fam it’s all good of what the reason is behind why they aren’t on the list. I was just confused on niggas ITT talking s***
when I first watched beau travail I thought what the f*** is up with the audio why is turkish music playing
then i remembered that simarik was a bona fide classic
if leos carax isn't in the 2032 list i can't guarantee my safety
Another unusual omission. Would have guessed Mauvais Sang or Lovers would have made the list. From what I remember they eventually release a top 250 tho?
