I mentioned them extremely honorably
None of them quite have silents that move me like the top ten. If I wasn't so ocd I would've made it a top 11 to fit Metropolis. Also Modern Times and M are in my top 20 oat probably but they arent silent.
just started watching fantomas again, for some reason i didn't follow up with the rest episodes.
this restoration is f***ing beautiful compared to the one from the dusty torrent I watched earlier
He had over ten pounds of makeup for this role. Lon Chaney a legend
man packed around his own makeup kit and did it himself too
finished fantomas visual masterpiece. need to see the first two episodes again since i watched them last year. plot was at times confusing and too fast paced though
gonna follow up with another Feuillade series, les vampires
laurel & hardy set got shipped with f***ing budget shippin during 'rona szn. estimated arrival 1st april - 27th may

total of runtime of 68 hours... this themed pairing of shorts and features is abysmal though. gonna be a pain in the ass to go chronologically
thinking of doing a quarantine slapstick marathon to judge who won each year, and at the end the decade

release? no reason to not get the new blu-ray one that went for sale a few days ago. those new 2K/4K scans must’ve done them good, especially for their silents cause those were a bit dusty on mine
my set is like from 2004 (although its not bad by any means) the talkies look good. only thing stupid is that there’s an option for a computer colored version of the films which looks horrendous
that new release isn’t as stacked as the one I’ve got though. maybe a few more volumes will drop. if you’re lookin for silents this new blu ray aint it cause its from their 33-37 run which is mostly short talkies, but it has "The Battle of the Century"

No look at my post above that... I need you to decide which Laurel and Hardy are worth comparing to the best slapstick films of the 20s. I wanna take a vote starting around 1920 when everyone started doing 6 reelers.

i'm sorry for being so airheaded (had just woken up too )
