game already has startup issues no one can open it
fixed already
yup it was fixed an hour later, there’s not much to see right now, still missing a lot of textures
they want to make the game more multiplayer, with maps working as ‘social lobbies’
I already hate the family friendly approach this game is starting to feel, maybe its too early but from the intro and tutorial dialogue it gives a very bland feel
this is how the game looks like currently
from the art direction I feel like this is already a lost cause, it ain't no way this gonna top skate 3
Playing skate. on PlayStation Portal might be the move
playing skate. against skaters at the skatepark

Yeah this’ll take years to drop. Also why I haven’t touched it. Minimal changes since I last playtested

there is no art direction right now thats literally a blockout with no art
the only time theyve ever shown the game with art it looked like this

true, I got ahead of myself there
showing games in development was a mistake we need to go back to cgi trailer then nothing for 3 years
players will never understand how development works

feels like development is going super slow which is kinda weird.

it's probably not the gameplay that's taking them so long, it's the game systems and progression. they're taking what was traditionally a single player experience and turning it into a f2p live service game. what does that even look like? i know it sounds easy to just add new clothes, decks and additions to the map but you have to figure out a system that keeps people engaged longed enough with the content that is already there so they're around to purchase the new content when it drops. it's an incredibly hard thing to do and that's why so many f2p live service games die so soon after they release. these games typically end up either nickel and diming the player base or not having enough content on launch which causes people to leave and never come back

nah completely new engine built from the ground up and nailing the physics/gravity is a massive importance with thousands of testers involved
this will be fully open world and online like an MMO kinda, there isnt anything like this yet and if they can nail the casual gameplay loop and combine it with real time competitive events those who play religiously then they will score huge as far as monthly active users go
i took part in a fashion/cosmetics trial survey with NDA about 6 months ago? i can see this being a 2024 drop for sure
they need to bring a tagging system like Underground 2 to make the open world more fun

the entire studio closed after skate 3 theres no way they were ever jumping right back into things
I still have not gotten into the alpha/beta or whatever of this and it's been like a year
Still playing Skate 2 while I wait for this
Never played the third game’s DLC (besides the After Dark Pack), so I’ll always have something "fresh" to experience while we let them cook

there are some photos/videos in that San Van dlc that are genuinely hard to kill even as an experienced player
