Is serum really necessary for someone with combination skin? Most serums seem to do more harm than good. I've just been using toner, moisturizer, and spf.

Also, is there any benefit to taking a day off from a skincare routine, like every couple weeks - a month, to let your skin be naked every once in a while? Avoiding sunlight, of course.

If you can get your hands on Tretinoin, I pretty much use that. Other options that work great are PC 2% BHA and apply a pimple patch over.

The blemish pads aren’t concentrated enough to take out a spot on their own and stay away from Mario products.

@Campari went thru a bottle of Good Science Beauty 003 Hydrating Face Cream and it’s amazing best moisturizer i’ve used light but still very hydrating never felt heavy during humid days in the summer too

Yes, I use tretinoin without any real acne, it’s still good for keeping skin youthful and glowing with smooth texture.

If you’ve never tried chemical exfoliants or tretinoin beforehand, start at the lowest concentration and be very careful with it.

I’ve been using 0.5% for two years now about every night or every other night. If my skin gets too dry then I’ll stop for a couple of days.

Been using 0.025% recently now though (every night) and I find it much better and less drying.
