Can't think of any from 2010s that are great performers to be honest- could just be forgetting them though...
Rocky, Kendrick, Joey, Gibbs, Earl, Tyler, Q, etc etc
they bring the exact energy of their music live and rarely use backing vox unless it’s hooks

Bernie XThis is only the case with rappers who croon and moan a lot in their music. Saint Jhn and Swae Lee are what we call “studio singers”, but can’t replicate it live, probably because it took multiple takes in the studio to achieve the vocals in their music
Naw they just dont got consistent technique and need autotune even in a controlled environment

completing a song is a completely variable metric
You can be someone like 2017-18 Uzi who takes a beat, freestyles over it for maybe three takes, and is done with it and leaves it to the engineer to finish the rest
that level of effort is absolutely minimal and it pales in comparison to people who actually write and craft their projects like Hov or older Kanye
Work ethic overall goes into the total care you put into the craft.
You make it sound like artists aren’t attached to their art. For Uzi to do that and do it 1000 times over and then select 15 of them for a record, is big time work ethic. It’s quite mental actually
You can theorize about stuff like this all u want but without experience or at least some valid parallels it’ll have no merits
