    Teach Me.. What’s the Difference?

I can’t say that I’m a Capitalist or Socialist, sure as hell not a Communist.

I mean who grows and say the words “I want to be a capitalist when I get older”?

Uh what lol? thats not what utopian socialism is.

And socialism and communism can be used interchangeably, marx did it himself. Lenin made the distinction between the lower stage of socialism and the higher stage, and that's why people make the distinction nowadays. but even then you can't separate the two, because in that instance socialism is the transition stage towards communism.

No it cannot be used interchangeably, regimes that have embraced marx mechanical and deterministic doctrine inevitably must turn to totalitarianism when confronting the reality of a complex society

they have not always fully succeeded; but the results have always been tragic

socialism nowadays =/= communism as marx intended it

Well for one, any one who knows what utopian socialism is knows that it is not when you use communism and socialism interchangeably lol. second, you can read marx to see how he used the terms interchangeably. then you can read state and revolution where lenin makes the distinction between the upper and lower stages of socialist society.

then you could try and apply that nonsense you posted to existing socialist states and see how it fails, or just makes no sense whatsoever.

Synop isn't going to buy this lol. For the record, this is a secondary source, so if you really want to play hardball with definitions, you should consult primary sources and examine the context/what they're actually saying

lenin did not try to implement marx's concept of socialism, whatever tf that means. there's a reason the line of thought is called marxism-leninism lmao. its almost as if socialists respond and act according to the material conditions in their society

No... synop is right here. I feel like you haven't actually read marx or lenin or any primary sources on socialism if you're saying this. Socialism isn't like religion or ethics in which they try to perfectly preserve the integrity/claims of the source material, or academically modify the tenets

I've read most of marx & bit lenin; I just hate their rhetoric and ideas

in these "primary sources" they pronounces statements in such an apodictic manner, laying claim to an non-questionable sense of truth, with no opportunity to doubt

no interrogation of his own views, no self-reflection, and no sense that tehy might possibly be wrong

how could you be philosophical on such primary sources
