the standards of beauty were in magazines and TV and they were actually somewhat natural good looking women (definitely vast majority white but also USA is like 80% white ppl)
now its literally in your pocket everything you see everywhere you go, people with plastic surgery arent just rich celebs its almost becoming the norm now for young people
no they were not at all lol those were not "normal" looking women
Maybe less surgery but they were still HIGHLY attractive
yea makes their nose more pointy too
its not even an ugly filter its just fake and it bothers me cuz all these girls use the same s*** so they all look alike literally its the same face laid over their natural face
@SKYKILLA just said the most but he's right, "cartoon looking physical traits", that's what it is.
It's just bad looking.
It’s s*** like this..... the problem is girls seeing women who alter the f*** out of their pictures and think it’s real and that’s how a body should look
This one.... is this b**** a centaur?
And this.... where did this b****es nose go? Is her face made out of porcelain? Completely smooth?

most of those women back then were starved to death
yeah it's so weird how casually people will bring up wanting cosmetic plastic surgery
and if you ever criticize plastic surgery people are always like "well, it's their choice!" and yes it is and straight up shaming random people for getting it done is bad
but choosing to get a nosejob isn't a choice made in a vacuum, it's based on wanting to conform to societal standards. conformity and giving money to surgeons preying on insecurities is not revolutionary (i've seen people act like it is for some reason)

This is it bro, this is what the topic was about. Yeah these filters and all this s***.

the job you pick is at times conforming, the car you drive
I mean it's rooted in everything lol
imo natural beauty like this in a natural setting should be the standard
How I'm tryna be in 10 years
no they were not at all lol those were not "normal" looking women

ive taken classes in college on this s*** so im very familiar with the beauty norms shoved down peoples throats
but yes highly attractive people always get ahead/used to sell stuff etc, always have and will. but thats kind of a different topic
im again talking about young people being influenced by social media and the like thats always in their pocket that they arent enough and they should 'fix' all these things at 17 years old. the filters people put on all the time that IG/snap provides etc
went from funny hats and evolved into something different
most of those women back then were starved to death
'back then' as in a very specific time period
in the 50s the norm/ideal look was thick and curvy
This issue was happening way before social media was a thing
It was but social media put it on hyper mode. There's lots of good examples ITT.

It has always been like this plastic surgery is just more normalized and common
Dolly Parton literally got implants to conform
They aren't told to fix these things, they make the personal choice
It's the same thing just in a different era
