Kissland underrated
oddlook , town, professional I love but he really got that many for me
Weeknd wanted to be a solo artist and turned down the easy OVO money. Nothing wrong with that.
Yup! Drake just resents that because he went with Wayne out of loyalty even if he couldve signed directly to a label like Abel did. All ego s***.
The weeknd turning down OVO was prob a huge blow to drake.
Also might be the best move of his career, he probably wouldn't be as big if he was still under Drake's wing.
This is definitely biased. By this time Abel had already snaked Jeremy out of writing credits on his Trilogy songs and f***ed him over when he cut him out of The Weeknd completely even tho the moniker was his idea that he came to Abel with. You definitely have rose tinted glasses when it comes to Abel in this era if you don't see how transactional he was already moving himself. Up until this point he'd gotten used to being the bigger fish but now he'd met an even bigger one, Drake, who he felt was giving him a taste of his own medicine. And unfortunately Drake can say he opened the door for Abel and there isn't a way to argue that point. Abel benefited from a Drake cosign and tried to shut him out
Anyone level headed can see what happened. To be clear I'm not saying Drake is a perfect guy despite what ktt considers me to be, an alleged Drake stan, but he did a lot for Abel more than Cash, Belly, or any of them other guys could do at that time. He got people anticipating a Weeknd project and all he had to do was post 3 songs on his blog. No one is trying to make transactional favors with someone sleeping in tents and dumpster mattresses. Are you that cynical to think Drake can't help a homeless man without wanting something in return?
packed them up
internet obsessed with painting whoever drake has issues with as the perfect angel in the story, like these niggas arent all cut through and do BS behind the scenes
dude got bigged up by drake and when it was time to return the favor, he ran
the culture would kill drake if he dipped from young money after his first mixtape and all the clout he got from wayne and them

You can just tell already that he’s gonna have a nasty clip of Kendrick loaded in these folders soon too 😂 it won’t do much damage cause people will understand the context but yeah s*** will be nasty 😂
It’s just gonna be use as a “gotcha”
Moment by his fans lol look at how Kendrick was acting with Drake over a decades ago before they even started beefin. His fans can’t fathom the idea that relationships can change.

crine u already copping pleas
Lol the levels of corniness here are crazy. Yeah, it’s corny to behave in the passive aggressive manner that drake displays in the video.
But the level of corny you gotta be to hold onto this for 11 years, then edit it, and post it on your burner
the amount of strings you had to bend for this post is laughable🤣🤣

Definitely one of my LEAST favorite Weeknd songs

Few things
1. Jeremy Rose has always been and currently is credited for his contributions on HOB, you can see that for yourself rn lol Jeremy was salty that Abel, Doc, and Ill used the sound he pioneered; but he’s still credited for his work
2. You all keep talking about “something in return” or “returning the favor”, but it seems pretty asinine to me to think that someone needs to literally sign their life away because someone put a spotlight on you early in your career
Again, if Drake truly felt that the only way for Abel to “repay him” was to sign to OVO, why did Drake offer to work/help him in the first place when XO made their intentions clear from the jump

They already did it with tweets
“He posted he liked drakes music in 2013!!!!”
Yeah nigga people grow, their taste changes, things happen
As a huge Drake fan you don’t have to have the same opinions for your entire life

This some of the s*** I be talking bout. Niggas be letting that disdain corrupt them into some crazy narratives
It can't just be slave this and slave that, when niggas feel like it

Comparing slavery to someone getting a 400 million dollar contract smh.
Not you just a sentiment I see a lot lately when it comes to Drake.
you're a number of years too late my friend
Never heard anybody except racists say it
"the weeknd sniffed out how transactional OVO XO was" what does this guy think the music business is lmfao these guys just make music for fun? Legit stupid. Lmfao. Open the schools.
Am I wrong? Lmfao
Drake has dangled the fact he put him on his entire career

If Drake can make slave jokes inevitably people will joke that his contract is slavery
not to be taken seriously either way

I still don't think that was a slave joke, it definitely seems like a jab at the "messiah" persona people have gifted Kendrick with
