This idea that communism is only destined for failure against the capitalist institution is funny because the movement isnt even 200 years old and only found its first material successes 100 years ago

Tons of liberal bourgeois movements failed before the onset of the larger scheme of private capitalism and post-aristocracy. It took like 3-400 years of feudal conflict before the Industrial Revolution actually entrenched capitalism as the new mode of production

And even then the French and German revolutions showed us that liberal movements could still fall to larger legacy forces at hand

its not entertaining at all and I cant imagine a teacher in 2024 teaching the book to children. Chicken Run is essentially the same thing although it incorporates more of Orwell's actual ideology into the film itself (a la Naked Lunch) as well as a basic critique. and both of these things are far inferior to Watership Down which actually interrogates the ideas behind liberal utopianism.
