I’ve come to the depressing realization that I’ve forgot almost everything I was taught in social studies at the ripe age of 19 and I’m completely lost regarding sociological terminology trying to differentiate that from political ideologies, then political philosophy, theology, economic ideology, law trying to separate that from ethics while also trying to understand modern day terminology/events going on in society and state, not being able to articulate on what’s obviously going on/what’s affecting us today only having a bare minimum grasp on subjects. Every day there’s a new term for an ideology or philosophical category that I feel obligated to know while also having an extremely vague grasp on if any of the base ideas of it or history. F***ing postmodernism, cultural Marxism, syndicalism, zionist, accelerationism etc wtf! How am I supposed to understand all this or what branches they fall under? I literally have 1,965 videos In my watch late queue regarding most these subjects overwhelmed on even knowing to navigate through them. Not to mention all the saved playlist I know some gonna say “bro just start” I wish you could understand it’s literally not as simple as that especially when there’s so much info at hand

Also, instead of reading political philosophy or whatever (though of course there’s value there) it’s much easier and entertaining to read histories and biographies instead.

I’m just at a state where I feel so ignorant and intellectually inadequate right now if that makes sense I know some people say ignorance is bliss but you have to know in order to feel the relief of bliss somewhat and right now I feel like I’m being burdened with not knowing. Another thing is with ideology, philosophy and things of that nature is that these things are tied to history because without them we wouldn’t have a way to contextualize the society we live in or even have an idea where to base our free thought on
