they still see it as a distribution obligation as of 2016 so I would assume they still have costs on the books that they can take from it

or at least they will get a significant amount of the royalties from a release

Dont see the issue here. Some sus stuff about the Yeezus/TLOP masters. But looks like the label isnt even making a profit on his albums, just trying to make their money back.

the issue is that some of these contracts are incomplete and sales data is often incomplete. these also dont specify costs for the label for a lot of this stuff so its hard to say when he would've started to recoup losses
