I know we're not suppose to look at mainstream rap artist/albums for conscious lyrics. But after all the s*** that happened in this country last year, i would expect the biggest rap album of the year to have at least one lyric mentioning or addressing what occurred. How can you call yourself the leader of the culture when you're not even speaking up or standing for anything within the culture. Even eminem spoke up for blacks more than this guy did and he got killed for it.
Because that’s not what rap is anymore and hasn’t been for a while
WAKE UP CULTURE!
Because that’s not what rap is anymore and hasn’t been for a while
If you're leading the culture its your duty to speak up and say something.
Op I know you referring to him and you gotta realize he’s never gonna make music or speak on the real s*** that niggas go through in the world
He’s not from where a lot of us are from. A lot of his s*** is cosplay

A Drake d***sucker showing his ignorance. Typical
Thought you wanted pandemic vaccine bars at first lol those are a hard pass. No thanks
Idk if you remember but Drake made contributions to various causes last year. That’s more than enough
Suddenly pushing activist bars would just be labeled fake and corny anyway. That’s never been his thing
who are u referring to
Idk man. I feel like black art deserves a break from being about trauma/informative. I feel like other parts of black culture like what brings us joy, what problems outside of race specific ones do we face, and the lesser known parts of our history should take importance in our music, movies, and shows. We already live through this stuff, our pain shouldn’t be the only thing we’re ever rewarded to talk about, especially when it’s not our responsibility to fix it.
