I'm not talking about his overall character. I don't think Drake has to do anything but it's dope when the biggest and best artist venture into that sphere

It'd be one thing if Drake was rapping like J Cole then "switched it up" when it was convenient. I'd agree with you 100% if that were the case.
But when we already know that Drake's not a conscious type of rapper and he prefers to help Black causes outside music, it just seems unwarranted.

Despite Drake spending most of his career repping Toronto I can't say I ever came out of a Drake album knowing anything about Toronto. Besides that Drake comes from Toronto.
