banoI've been buying digital copies myself, have a series x with 0 physical games and a digital ps5. The problem for me is that after finishing a game you simply cant trade it in or return it. I'd really appreciate if gaming corporations could let us trade/sell licenses to owned games for a discounted price. I don't need to keep a copy of Assassins creed for the rest of my life. I'd rather pass it on for 5$ in store credit than keeping it on my account just because

yeah a big part of this decision is because sony feels untouchable. which unfortunately they kind of are.
i'm not convinced there's even going to be another xbox console.

Whether or not they were lying about that, it makes sense. It costs a huge amount of money to mass produce physical copies of anything, so games being raised to $70 wasn't a crazy concept.
If they're digital-only moving forward, what is the justification for them being $70+ at launch?

Even if probably 99% of the games I bought in the past 5 years were digital
I'll always remember buying new GC/PS2 games in the store, coming home and examining the case, reading the booklet first, etc.
