why are people so confident in Microsoft all of a sudden? They're going to ride the same horse as Sony. Even more merrily now that Sony did it first.
The same microsoft that wants you to rent your games every month.
People forgot about the All-digital Xbox one S in 2019
true
i just collect digital games
Steam:

Epic:

GOG:

How many of these were freebies
I've been buying digital copies myself, have a series x with 0 physical games and a digital ps5. The problem for me is that after finishing a game you simply cant trade it in or return it. I'd really appreciate if gaming corporations could let us trade/sell licenses to owned games for a discounted price. I don't need to keep a copy of Assassins creed for the rest of my life. I'd rather pass it on for 5$ in store credit than keeping it on my account just because
I'm sure you a cool dude but what makes you think i want yo sloppy seconds man
How many of these were freebies
every single one on epic and GOG was a freebee
Crazy thing is the games are 100% still gonna cost $70-$80 at launch even though a big factor in that price point was due to physical copies being produced
Proud PS2 -> 360 -> PS4 -> PS5 enjoyer
I remember when it used to be exclusives that did it
But then again, times have changed, man who are we kidding
Seen it all, done it all
them s***s just eating dust now

Might finally be time to hang up the controller
We connecting that to the pc

yeah a big part of this decision is because sony feels untouchable. which unfortunately they kind of are.
i'm not convinced there's even going to be another xbox console.
So glad I started my Blu Ray and 4K collection last year. I’m buying as many of them as I can possibly find for the foreseeable future

Prices for things will never go down
That’s in the American Bible
blockbuster ended in 2009
Blockkr0niic opened in 2026
Seen it all, done it all
them s***s just eating dust now

all those consoles and not a single physical disc in the photo
sony was right
inevitable unfortunately you could see the writing on the wall even with the way they handled the disc drive with PS5
Will grass still be green in 2028
How does that impact shareholder value
all those consoles and not a single physical disc in the photo
sony was right
my CDs are all in the drawers to the left lol

"Big factor" you know they just like lying. Like apple "saving the environment" by not including the charger or whatever
He's talking about midnight launches for games breh
gta 6 out november
intergalactic out next year
Lining up for a code in a box
Illiterate generation
"Big factor" you know they just like lying. Like apple "saving the environment" by not including the charger or whatever
Whether or not they were lying about that, it makes sense. It costs a huge amount of money to mass produce physical copies of anything, so games being raised to $70 wasn't a crazy concept.
If they're digital-only moving forward, what is the justification for them being $70+ at launch?
Yeah, sad news
Even if probably 99% of the games I bought in the past 5 years were digital
I'll always remember buying new GC/PS2 games in the store, coming home and examining the case, reading the booklet first, etc.
Convenience will be the death of us all
last midnight launch i attended was kingdom hearts 3 and that s*** was so rancid i vowed never again
Lol . I called this a few days ago in the GTA thread
GTA 6 being digital only was a clear sign that Sony was planning for the PS6 to be a digital console
The writing was on the wall unfortunately

Glad you posted this cause your post immediately popped in my mind, just couldn’t remember the user lol. You def called it
