Akame Ga TrillJust watched this all day and I gotta say the marble episode was by far my favorite. I’ve watched a lot of these death game kinda shows and I don’t think this one did anything too special but it was fun and cartoony. The whole policeman subplot was my only complaint. That all felt like a waste of time but the show was overall a short fun watch.
I could see a second season taking things in an interesting direction. Hopefully they don’t just rehash the premise again
The only way they can make it make sense is if
the police officer isn’t dead and they’re going to go deep into the lore behind the Masked Man/VIPS etc

there’s absolutely no way a 2nd season will be good for this show lol no matter what it’s about.

Director said the cop plot wasn’t even part of the og story. Squid game was supposed to be a 2hr movie but when it got green lit to be a tv show he decided to add more to it since he had the time to expand on that s***
also feel like cop plot was there just to flex who the actor behind the mask was. The USA equivalent of Having Lee byung hoon behind the mask would be like having brad Pitt behind the mask.
