Been studying Carl Jung a lot recently and the whole idea of balancing the force reminds me of him.

He teaches to integrate the shadow rather than cast it away. Because when you cast it away it can one day grow and overcome you.

But if you find balance with your shadow you’ll be better off.

Luke was kind of getting at this when teaching Rey in TLJ
