Just watched the whole saga again with my gf, I don’t hate the sequels as much as I thought I did but I definitely think ROTJ is a better end to the series than ROS, which is disappointing
the WHOLE sequel trilogy will be viewed as fondly as the prequels are now in about 10 years just watch
we’re too in the heat of it and we watched it all happen before our eyes basically, with the controversies and everything
no ones gonna care about the political climate of the situation in 10 years
when I show my kids Star Wars they’ll just accept it as prt of the story.
plus I love how ep9 goes back to that campy saturday morning flash gordon feel, INCLUDING the coincidences and everything
just watch

Nah fam.
The sequels will never be on the same level as the OG and prequels.
I didn't like his portrayal in TFA, tbh.
You mean him being a runner and no integrity until the end?

Mostly being used for comedic purposes even though his character has the most traumatic background. And his obsession with Rey was just too shallow and unearned for me to fully get behind.

So you liked the sequels?
So you liked the sequels?
i recognize they have issues
like the Og’s have issues
and the prequels
crying about rian johnson this and rise of skywalker that wont change anything
i love star wars too much to just be that cynical,
the sequels did some cool things
and i do like them very much
i also think with time SW fans will come around
like legit they always do bro its a trend

I think a lot of people still feel that way though. I love the prequels because I grew up with them, so I see your point about kids, but most people (me included) would still say that the OG trilogy is by far the best

yea for sure
off pure cinematic merit and story telling the OG’s will always be the best
but thats a boring way of seeing the world, to close the universe off at episode3-4.
anyways I can see it now when EpX-XII get announced
“10 Reasons why we were wrong about the sequels!”
“Sequels revisited, They’re actually awesome”
🙄🙄

That'll definitely happen. I think Disney's sequels (and the prequels, for that matter) just had an impossible task of living up to the quality of the original trilogy and they were bound to get hated on. It'll take a while for people to see them for what they are and not what they could've been in relation to the originals.
I do hate that they brought Palpatine back. It retroactively took some of the meaning of Vader's sacrifice away, which was the culmination of the entire first 6 movies.

I like the first two but RoS was genuine ass

Yeah you'd think a former stormtrooper that was brainwashed since childhood would be pretty f***ed up right? They had an interesting angle there and instead they just used him to crack jokes.
Last Jedi really killed the Finn wave bruh lmao
It killed the whole trilogy tbh.
One thing the prequels and OG trilogy have that the sequels don't is (for the most part) the scenes where there isn't action can still be enjoyable. With sequels I hardly remember anything that wasn't action... and that whack ass casino mission in TLJ

Only an idiot would think that the sequel trilogy is actually good.
Especially ros, there’s actually nothing good about that movie
I’m not even on Star Wars super fan type s***

lmaoo I’m not an idiot for liking the sequel trilogy
movies dont have to be f***ing immaculately put together masterpieces to find enjoyment
you’re crazy if you think that someone cant find enjoyment in something just because you don’t
i find it more idiotic to spend years of ones life hating on a movie or series like it’ll change the movie or your opinion.

City of god
I just saw your name last night and it honestly sent me on a spiritual journey while watching. So Your name or City of god for me
What wave. Force Awakens literally ends with him in a coma. It was always a bait and switch.
