The nuka world dlc was pretty mediocre but they came back strong with far harbour. Hopefully something similar happens here but I’m starting to lose faith.

Far Harbor was peak. 2016 feels forever ago.

Starfield feels ripe for a good expansion that’s actually sizable and interesting, packed with features, etc. I really hope for it but I’m not expecting it

My guess is ES6 development will move much more smoothly. They had a lot of time to write ideas and make concept art and all that s***, plus Todd said he had the concept for the game already down like a decade ago

Also they built a new engine for starfield and they’re just reusing that, it saves a lot on dev time

    All that applied to Starfield

Isn’t it the same engine, just cleaned up a bit?

No it was the opposite, they were building Creation Engine 2 so we knew it would be a long dev cycle

Also, the other part doesn’t really translate either. They had a concept for a space game, that’s very different than building a whole new game world with its own lore. Elder scrolls 6 is built on the lore of the last 5 games, so having a concept of what 6 will be 10 years prior is very different than just wanting to make a space game for over a decade lol

They work on the engine in between every release but I’ll give them this one being the biggest.

I don’t think 6 will be a dud but it does have its own concerns.

    WE ARE BACK

Wild how Bethesda and BioWare were the two kings of Western RPGs and both fell off (guess we’ll see how Veilguard turns out).

Really feels like our equivalents now are Larian and CDPR.

It’s weird, because previews for it are so positive, yet whenever they actually show off the game is doesn’t necessarily look all that appealing.

Maybe they’re just awful at presenting it, just comes off as limp and a little dated at points (plus, the UI looks garish as hell, totally out of sorts with the game and, depending on the lighting, character models can have a very cartoonish look to them).

    Also,

why lie lol. The maim story alone is about 10-12 hours. And 7-8 hours if you skip the dialogue. Then there are also side quests
