Glad you're back in the section, really appreciated seeing this
“You gotta take the lead on this”
“Nah man hxns is yours”
“Hxns is mine?.... ”
@vox cool asl ngl
“Man the melodies are crazy”
never heard anyone say that about someone’s fit
last 20 mins of the stream
got me re-thinking my whole buying process, I've been buying a lot of pieces instead of thinking it through, sitting on it and letting it resonate
can't remember who said it but "letting the clothes speak to your soul" and the bit about manufactured fits that have good proportions but nothing else behind them

That resonating gotta go beyond the buying process too!
Sometimes I just look at my wardrobe and think on that ish!
Take a walk in some of your favorite s*** and some s*** your more iffy on in your wardrobe and compare the difference!
Really gotta be living and thinking on this stuff as much as you can - far beyond the material and monetary realm!
My bad for going full on
Over the first match and running up the time
When you started talkin bout character design
When you started talkin bout character design
Really glad you f***ed with that - I want to be a masterful writer and story teller one day and capturing/creating characters is so difficult so I'm always trying to pull from my own life and the lives of others I come across in my day to day and clothing/style is one of my favorite parts of that.
This could easily be my single favorite piece of clothing and a big part of the reason why is that I was always wearing it during a very tumultuous period where everything was falling apart and eventually I was fighting for my life. S*** was my go to armor and got so dirty and it's so fitting to me that it's so military inspired in design but in a different shade of green than what you're used to for jackets like this allowing it to really speak to my foundations as a person (colors grounding reality for me) and I love extending that kind of thinking to how I shape my style and how I think about creation.

some real ass s*** dude. you can build life into clothes and the people who are capable of translating that have some of the most powerful fits.
Loved hearing both of your guys' insight, lots of great discussion and food for style-thought... I'll try to tune in live next time!
great watch. def needa put more miles in my clothes to see the better vision. can't wait for this lockdown to be done wit
Podcast was fire, loved the back and forth discussion from 2 very different perspectives from 2 homies from across the world. Can’t wait for the next one
Dont know who the white skinned dude is but when you were talkin bout chase and you said “the fits themselves are good they’re perfect but they lost that human element” are you trying to say that the fits are technically good but dont seem authentically ‘him’? Are you saying its more like the clothes are wearing him?

i dont like the term "clothes are wearing him".
not authentically "him" would imply that he is impersonating somebody else which is not the case. the problem is that the fits are authentically noone/everyone.
so my point was that he has made himself replacable in his outfits. they could just as well be put on a mannequin. thats the human element i was talking about.
vox lookin like a boomer figuring out how to work his phone
I was set up!
Won't be on my IG live s*** next time!!

IMO while takti made some good points, he and i just have very different perspectives on clothing in general, especially in the context of a fit battle
ultimately to me, this is entertainment. if i'm a voter i don't want to see people posting outfits with some blank tee and regular fit denim with some sneakers they like. sure it may be an accurate representation of their style but that s*** is boring
i'd rather see what people think is their best, what parts of their style they seek to hone in on and express further you feel me?

no disrespect intended but i feel like your perspective is a little biased because you know i make my money off buying and selling clothing, from what you said on the cast i get the feeling you think i just put s*** on take a fit pic then sell it on grailed. and sometimes that is the case, but i don't consider those things part of my style. if i don't love it, i don't keep it, if i don't keep it, it's not me
if i really love a piece it stays with me indefinitely. everything i submitted with the exception of the undercover cloak i've had for a long ass time and wear regularly, at least once or twice a week tbh. i look at my clothing buying habits as a sort of constant, self-sufficient cycle of things coming in and out. i keep things i like and sell things i don't u feel🤷♀️

i had a thought while I was listening to you talking about chase. you said how you thought chase had lost the ‘human element’ to his fits. do you think its because you see all his hustling and all his buying and selling on instagram that this has an influence on this view?

oh s*** we posted at the same time. your first paragraph was exactly what I was thinking on
the way you see clothes and fashion is the same as me and whether this is superficial and consumerist I dont know. I see them as a fluid, liquid set of assets that I will use and then sell on to buy something else if I have had enough of them. certain things will be kept forever but having the option to buy and sell stuff and get new things is how i like to roll too

yeah, i totally resonate with the liquid asset aspect.
i also i feel like it's pretty anti-consumerist for me at least because i only really buy secondhand, i think the my only retail purchase last year was my kiss heels
