VersaceVersacelove this community man. crazy to think how long its been and how many posters have moved on from the era when I got here. iv probably posted less than 15 fits in 8 years or so but hearing yall on the podcast talking thru fits... the same voice that plays in my head as I scroll thru this thread, the same thoughts and ideas about clothes, style, form, function... only way to describe it is cathartic.
Even when i worked in fashion i never felt like there were people who actually cared about the clothes in similar ways that I do, in the ways that have made me come back to this site for so long. My experience with fashion (style, actually, tbh) has been pretty defined by this place, the quirks (no pun intended, s/o the god) and crazy s*** that ppl on here have done, worn, and said to each other. So thanks to the boys @Vox @takti and like Vox said earlier, sometimes feels like a gift to just be able to hang out around people that care about similar things in similar ways.

I try to stray away from giving my opinion on styles I don’t like because what’s the point
Do I want everyone dressing the same? Or to my norm? No.
Opinions are OK but never think that yours are more valid than the next man.

thanks for this and you definitely brought up some important points and boundaries we overstepped.
We usually take style wars as a chance to learn from each other’s ways of dressing and take something away that we can incorporate in our own. The podcast should be an extension of that. We'll try to go in even further on that part next time.
The problem for me was, in your case, judging from your fits you didn’t seem interested in wearing anything beyond what you can get at the mall. Im not saying this is a bad thing, but to me at least it reflects a lack of interest in thinking about this further than just surface level which, in my eyes, is the only requirement to participate in style wars

Can only speak for me\yself but I should have finished the idea I was struggling with at the beginning of your part of the match about accessibility because even beyond the event it's important in general in maintaining and growing the section but I think my actions show that regularly and it's on me for not being able to complete the process of thought live and even being swayed from it some.
Also I'm never trying to look down on anyone, that's why I'm always bringing in other ideas about character design and story telling and creativity in general - style wars as a whole is mad inspiring to me and I always try to make that and my appreciation for that clear.
Plus, I got no ground as a 'god' I'm just out the community like you and everyone else + I'm recording from bed with a satin scarf on a busted ass Sunday evening
Niggas had me laughing from the jump and that wasn't ever at anyone. Once they started calling me Dr. Disrespect it was over for me and I was chuckling the whole way through whenever anything else funny came up (Korea let me down, getting at @helmut_lame for the poncho when I was trying to defend him because there was snow out there, Boston is a nice city, electrician pants, etc)
