No. It's all about who your uncle is.

    This it's just about

    1. Talent
    2. Branding/aesthetic
    3. Marketing
    4. Connections (50-80% of the equation)
    5. Timing/luck

Only the last part is random but even that is about peeping what's happening and being ahead of the curve

So just like anything else in life

Some factors are in your control but most aren't

    look into my eyes

Kodak a bad example he the biggest anomaly in rap past 10 years besides X

Not really though, he’s a great rapper who makes ear worm songs and has a strong personality to boot. His whole song got stolen by Cardi and was one of the biggest hits of the decade. He has a massive online and irl following plus plenty of people have bit his style so he’s rightfully in the space he is in

  • that rod song wasn’t even streaming right away that’s crazy

It’s not destiny. It just seems like destiny because there’s like a billion factors that go into why an act streams well that are beyond comprehension to most.

Like, IMO without looking at the actual data and a***ytics of these artists it’s pretty hard to proclaim their success is the product of some divine being.

I actually think (just my opinion) the music industry especially rap is the complete opposite of destiny. Grassroots fanbases have never been more pivotal, and again we have no idea how these records are being worked.

Any talented act today that knows how to blend rap and melody in an easily digestible way, that has some lucrative funding from a solid investor or two, an intelligent team that knows how to build a grassroots fan base that’s patient, and has a team that is cognizant of how to build one’s social media presence,

    Will be pretty successful.

Drake and Adele levels? I mean I guess that’s ‘partly’ destiny but I could argue the opposite, especially drake. Very hard for an incredibly talented biracial rapper not to be Uber successful when he has access to every producer and writer in the industry as well as having a never ending budget from the record label.

Like I’m telling you, it has never been easier to breakthrough. Be talented at what’s desirable in the marketplace, have a lot of money, know how to spend said money, and boom, star. Doesn’t sound like destiny to me.

Rod Wave and Kodak should drop a Christmas duet and get Mariah outta here

Your natal chart will tell you about yourself and what’s pretty likely to happen in your live

Please explain to me how astrology could predict Kodak could still be on the top 10 Apple Music chart brother I’m BEGGING

Just look at his transits. Planets literally go through specific houses that'll dictate the popularity of something he creates and how it'll be received by the masses. Steve jobs applied the same method to his iPhone drops and all that. Steve jobs was actually stupid big in astrology.

It sounds like you’re saying that acts with a strong label/business/marketing people behind them are more likely to blow up, which is like, pretty obvious right? That’s why those fields exist and professionals there get work

It's kinda easy to get on these days. I honestly don't think you need that much money to get a grassroots following. Just a solid product and a solid team

    Ofcourse.
But I think to get into the industry in general, it's a lot easier to get on. Maybe not on a Drake, Doja Cat level out the gate, but a grassroots following is easier to achieve than ever

Drake didn't always have unlimited budget. He also competin with the star player, nicki, tyga, and the rest of the label. He grew organically unlike some people these days.
