Everestcouple lyrics and lines on this suck IMO
huge sufjan fan but on every song theres at least a line or two that just kinda feel super sugary, on the nose and corny. is that what u think too ?what stuck with me most was just "offer I can't refuse" being repeated like that (just couldn't stop thinking of horse heads lol), and "tell me you love me" felt like a very underwhelmingly dull type of thing for Sufjan to sing, but there might be more to those two lines

I love sufjan’s musicianship and Impossible Soul is so good but for some reason material like Illinoise is like nails on a chalkboard almost for me. I just really dislike that sound
