with all the hate Byleth got an announcement, was really hoping that people would play them and like them enough to at least try Three Houses. However, reactions on from people on Twitter is bad to meh

In order of my personal enjoyment of Fighter Pass 1

1. Terry
2. Hero
3. Joker
4. Banjo
5. Byleth

Not a single character I straight up hate, but I’m picking Byleth the least

A lot of pros are saying the same thing you just did.

Leffen said Byleth is Plant tier and basically the 2nd worst DLC character.

Also, Hero and Banjo aren’t even relevant in the meta.

The only noteable Hero main uses Snake as his main and uses Hero to cover bad matchups.

Banjo has done nothing in tournaments except for Trela upsetting Void once.

And Byleth is worse than those characters. It’s not going to go well for them.

Ken/Ryu are a problem now. Them, Zelda, and Young Link got the most useful buffs IMO.

Wasn’t saying the rest of the dlc characters were necessarily relevant in the meta as of now, but they get play quite a bit. Banjo not as much but they have way more representation than Plant does in competitive.

There’s nothing that Byleth has that’s gonna shake things up imo. Maybe a player down the line with have a Nairo/Gannon vs Light/Fox moment with them, but just like Gannon, will be basically erased from any type of play
