How many days off does she have may I ask

Just because you go on "Summer/Winter Break" they still have to deal with in service and activities during this time. Also the whole certification process is bullshit.

But how many days off does she have though because I'm sure she doesn't work more than 200 days in a year

I don't know man. Lotta times kids can be absolute pricks when you teach them. I agree our education system is s***ty but it just sounds like you had a bad experience with teachers who didn't care.

A good teacher that inspires and educates the class is literally an angel.

She absolutely works more than 200 days a year and more than 40 hours a week, during the school year.

Like am I bugging? OP doesn't understand that theres a lot of countries that have underpaid teachers by a large margin. If he says he's from Scandinavia or Canada I'll be chortling

Some teachers don’t give a f*** about students. They just teach enough to get through the school year so they can have the summer and breaks off.

I can't speak for everywhere else, but the average hourly rate for teachers in Florida start at 15 an hour on the low end.

You can become a Wendy's manager after your first month working their and make that much.

40 hours a week is a normal M-F 9-5 schedule. They don't get paid OT, they're on salary. Its easy to say 40 hours a week is nothing when you're getting paid for overtime or not having to work overtime. How old are you?
