Word for word what I said last night when I left from seeing it. I liked it better than 2 because it felt more like a movie where 2 felt kinda like a kill compilation.
The plot/pacing (really of the last 20 or so) actively blew it, but I thought he had it for the most part
S*** was aight

I agree, I actually went to the bathroom right before the final fight and when I came back I was like this gotta be a dream / hallucination. Sped that s*** tf up. Already 2 hours long idk why they decided to do that.
I think the cinematography and overall aesthetic of these films is a big reason they work
If this was a glossy production it would almost certainly fall apart

Definitely THE WRONG time to go lmfao, that s*** was like a record skipping how fast it jumped to the climax

This one was glossy, big part of why it's the best

I mean glossy like Smile or a new Halloween movie
The trailer for this didn’t look that glossy, but noted

It's glossy and film grained to s***, looks great
It's shot like an actual movie

Deadass lmao I saw her sleeping and it seemed like flashbacks so I was out.
This was fine, had a fun time but it felt like a step down from the last movie. Art the clown is great as always, he’s easily the best part and they know it. Also Lauren LaVera remained a highlight and I think even showcased much better acting in this film. The acting in general is much better then the previous film. The kills were great, the cinematography was a massive step up but as far as story goes, it feels kind of aimless. I enjoyed how the last film kind of put a nice end on the characters stories even though it was clear they’d return. But in this you don’t even know what happens to some characters by the end. Felt really rushed and anticlimactic, almost reminded me of Halloween Ends in that regard. A lot of the lore and worldbuilding felt like it didn’t lead to much but left you with more questions by the end. Also, the pacing was much better in the previous film, even though it ultimately was overly long. Fun movie, but hopefully next time around it has more structure.
6.5/10
Ending felt a bit rushed. Overall, I enjoyed this and the experience at the theater definitely helps too.
Lots of gore, some great kills, and some funny comedy spots too
They really stepped up the kills this time. This was an insane, fun ride. Also garnered a decent amount of laughs. Arts expressions are hilarious sometimes lol
I think I like this one better than the 2nd one. I’m not a huge fan of supernatural horror and while there was that in this too, I think it did it better the second
I still stand by my opinion that Terrifier 1 would have been the best slasher cult classic of all time had it ended right after he killed himself and then that was it
However, we wouldn’t have gotten this gem, so I’m not too mad about that missed opportunity lol
Do I need to have seen the previous films for this?

This is a massive improvement from the first two movies. It actually looks like a movie.
You’d love to see Leone capitalize on these sequences, but at times, Terrifier 3 has a “story” with less narrative cohesion than 90s rap albums
I know this fool ain't talking
From a 30-40 grand budget indie first film, to a crowdfunded second film, to the biggest film in America

Shoutout Damien Leone man. Working outside the studio system to deliver his vision and it has paid off. I wouldn’t be shocked if after Terrifier 4 he gets offered a big studio movie.
That chainsaw scene was genuinely unhinged that I audibly started laughing and I truly felt like a weirdo in the middle of that theater

Yes
