I think we really can't and shouldn't compare this one to A Brief Inquiry... or any other album of theirs
You can feel in Mattys voice that he wasn't trying to make another record like ABIIOR
on ABIIOR he was screaming "WE'RE F***IN IN A CAR"
on here he is gently saying "I've never f***ed in a car, I was lying"
It's a beautiful record on it's own when not compared to anything else
I know posting P4 rates on KTT in 2020 is a joke but hey...
They gave NOACF an 8.0 and I couldn't agree more
It's not a 10/10
It's not a 4 like some of yall are saying
it's a solid 8
f*** all of u if u hate the intro track
It’s literally garbage
Why should we have to listen to a 5 minute speaxh everytime we listen to the album?
Is there a reason this doesn’t get a sticky ?
Because it’s not rap!
KTT lacks diversity in music taste

The Carly Rae Jepsen thread got stickied and it's not even as active as this one
The Carly Rae Jepsen thread got stickied and it's not even as active as this one
As much as I like Carly’s music, KTT does seem to slurp her up way too much for some reason.
Attempting to order all 22 tracks from NOACF
I have #22-#12 ordered but #11-#1 is the part where I really have to sit down and take some time to think about.
Expect an order sometime this weekend (since I should get to bed instead of working on this lol)
Tbh
The first song I heard from this band was their single “If you’re too shy...”
And I think I’ve fell in love I’m so happy
It's amazing to me how they've evolved musically since their first projects
Listen to those instrumentals
This album has max two tracks that could get mainstream appeal and get radio plays
The rest is so RICH
They are perfecting the art of an ALBUM
Every listen it gets better and better
Am I the only one who thought People was a little too polished for that type of sound?
I don't know if it is the mixing or what...
I like people when I'm in the mood but yes I agree. I think it would be impossible for the 1975 to actually drop a gritty track though so I commend the effort
For being a heavy guitar track it's very polished and cleaned up in its sound IMO. Like I said I still like it but imagine if we got a demo version of it. When I saw them in concert last year they opened with people and it was crazy. On record, a little too clean I think. Love the album though
Not sure why it wasn’t
I’m a big fan of the grab bag approach they did to this album, lots of nice stuff. People have been comparing them to Radiohead (lol), but this album is a little like.. Pavement. And their album Wowee Zowee
Imma put it straight
People are mad bc this s*** is actually different
In a scope of their whole career this album will be what solidified them as one of the biggest bands of our generation and not just a bunch of queer dudes with guitars
Anyone who hates on the instrumentals... Like... Do you even like music?? The instrumentals are so beautiful and complicated. And if I were to judge they are the most important parts of the album. Not the songs like Roadkill but the instrumentals like The End or Streaming
A Brief Inquiry... was like PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH
this one is slowing down, taking things easy, noticing the beauty in the chaos
Listened to it again in my bed b4 going to sleep and I felt like I'm levitating
I take back what I said yesterday. This is getting better and better with every listen.
It's different. Whole lotta different. But that's what makes it good
Bruh “a bunch of queer dudes with guitars” wtf
