interestingly enough, i saw fans talking about matty's "spotify commentary" and if you look at a few of the songs on mobile there's this feature called "storyline" where there are breakdowns too.

in the Wintering "storyline" he says this album isn't their magnum opus and used the metaphor of being "photos of our vacation."

1. I don’t necessarily agree that Michael was a pedo (sleeping in bed with kids that aren’t yours is very weird though), but I don’t think this will arise much controversy for Matty because I think there are a lotta people who agree with him on this

2. I wonder if this has changed Matty (and the band in general’s) feelings regarding Michael’s music because he was always cited as a big inspiration for them during their Self-Titled era

he goes on to praise him and talk about his experience of seeing him live, it was just a throwaway comment
