GOT is really good but anyone that has played more than 5 open world games knows how generic its gameplay mechanics are. Go here, investigate, fight guy, go to the next place, do the same, that’s the mission structure. It honestly felt really dated but everything else was really really good

I agree with everything except the crash trilogy. Only other game to combat TLOU is uncharted 4

Better is subjective but more important to the game industry? The first tlou, god of war, zelda botw, odyssey and skyrim are all more important not only for the standards they set but also for innovating and influencing future games. Tlou2 didnt do anything too different from the first one and it was received a little worse by critics. Like i said before im fine with it winning goty but i felt it was given everything just because it was goty. Maybe its just that this year is weaker in terms of good games idk

I personally find validation in what I like on my own opinions and I personally believe tlou2 is a masterpiece and goty and it is well deserved

I'm not saying it's a bad game, but you do realize the game was not made without a lot of sacrifice, a lot of crunch and a lot of people stiffed out of their money. This isn't the only game that's like this, it sets a precedent for AAA games going forward but you're too busy living in your echo chamber to realize that
