That's an underrated record definitely.
Prince defined this decade man. Soooooo many classics and you can't even fw one of them? Gtfo
Each decade has something to appreciate.
That said, I would easily toss the 90s if I had to choose.
The 30s-40s had jazz
The 50s had rock n roll
The 60s had classic and psychedelic rock
The 70s had funk and soul
The 90s had golden age hip hop
2000s had r&b/pop
2010s got experimental hip hop and vaporwave
The 80s had cheesy synth pop and overall aged worse than every other decade
the 80s had new wave, amazing dance pop and fantastic hooks..
easily the best decade. with the biggest larger-than-life superstars
The OP hasn’t probably heard: “Dirty Mind,” “Controversy,” “1999,” “Purple Rain,” “Around the World in a Day,” “Parade,” “Dream Factory,” “Camille,” “Sign ’O’ the Times,” “The Black Album,” “Lovesexy,” & “Batman,” LMFAO.
Not to mention: “Vanity 6,” “The Glamorous Life,” “Romance 1600,” “Sheila E.,” “Jill Jones,” etc... thoroughly embarrassing.
@DriveSlow
Take this L already, OP; come on... you’ve decided to potentially mess around with the wrong man...
one of the very very few artists from the 60s to make an album in the 80s to critical acclaim
top 5 album of the 80s right there
