Notice how even people like Martha Stewart, Elon Musk, etc. came out to go against remote work. Let’s be real, they’ve been told by their stock brokers that their stock portfolios in commercial real estate will go down if if workers continue to WFH.

WFH is an absolute blessing for me, not having to deal with “muh oFfIcE cUlTuRe” and forced interactions with coworkers, not to mention having my own privacy at all times.

I’m pro-WFH and think it’s very beneficial for mental health of workers, but at the same time there are downsides to it which I feel aren’t usually acknowledged. The isolating effects of it do have a knock on especially for younger people - the “productivity” aspect is debatable but in general I don’t think it’s just a 100% net good even though for some jobs it’s completely viable

That’s why at least they should completely normalize hybrid, the best of both worlds. However, companies mandating their workers to completely return to office at all times doesn’t fly with me.

Agree, I think hybrid is the way of the future for most non-service jobs. WFH is def a luxury for certain jobs too tho and I thinks it’s important to remember not every job gets the privilege of it
