If i can work remotely i'll usually go to a coffee place
Dont like infecting my home with work

Hybrid is goat tbh
Really thankful that my firm has hybrid
I go to the office 2 - 3 times a week to catch some downtown vibes, grab an expensive ass coffee, show off my fits at the office and chat s*** with the people I actually like there
And then spend 2 - 3 days at home, playing with my daughter, watching movies or tv shows, playing videogames whenever I get the chance and have nothing urgent to take care off work-wise
Perfect balance tbh
I'm no expert on this. My line of work would basically turn me into a call center if I worked from home. But if a CEO is against it they ate probably looking at raw data and it's messing up their end line lol. Whatever it may be. Like I said I don't know anything about this. I haven't even seen articles about it.

This
The most depressing thing is the commute
After WFH that s*** just seems like a scam. You paying money and time (and potentially stress) to go do something you could easily be doing at home.
Commute is what makes me want to drive off a bridge daily. My job placed me so f***ing far that i have to take toll roads daily. Its ridiculous. Just sitting in traffic for 2 hours every day, risking my life with these insane f***s they let behind the wheel im liable to be a liability
WFH is goated. Used to get my s*** done by noon and do f*** all for the rest of the day

commute is worst part of my day easily (aside from work)

Like if we had automated cars on some irobot s*** and i could just play playstation on the way to work or something i feel like i wouldnt mind working anywhere. Or if the US had the infastructure to have subways and lightrails everywhere like tokyo where i could enjoy myself before/after work stopping by on foot n s*** but everything is terrible here everything is so far streets are too big.

ya exactly i would be much happier with either of those
it goes both ways lol. i know people who WFH who are absolute beasts and kids who WFH who are also beasts because they’re stealing from their employer but also they literally have to be the first on the layoff list because they do NOTHING
I don't think CEOs care that you work from home, it's more so that they see their numbers dwindle down from WFH. Everyone swears they are so much more productive at home but the bottom line seems to not reflect that? Interesting topic. Hybrid model is the move imo.

Real af for being a downtown vibes enjoyer
I’m pro-WFH and think it’s very beneficial for mental health of workers, but at the same time there are downsides to it which I feel aren’t usually acknowledged. The isolating effects of it do have a knock on especially for younger people - the “productivity” aspect is debatable but in general I don’t think it’s just a 100% net good even though for some jobs it’s completely viable
We don’t care let us be isolated
