I'd give Cudi 8/10, Taylor 7/10 but this album is next level f***ing instant classic 10/10 I can't stop listening to it

i was skeptical after some of the singles for this but nah man they really delivered like damn this is real good and I'm just 1 listen in

Nah, I feel like all previous rap verse fit in some way. Pink siifu on always black fit so well with the track, probably my favorite rap feature on a an avalanches project. I think it’s just the fact that he’s rapping about his progression and past work as an artist that throws me off, but I guess it kinda makes sense because this album is supposed to be something of a salute artists musical pasts

If y’all want SILY vibes go listen to DJ Sabrina - Chamred. She just dropped it recently. It’s 3 hours long but the samples are beautiful and it’s so groovy, makes you wanna dance all night. Unreal

The journey of this album is so emotional. The whole thing is so magic. It’s got that incredible experience where singles I didn’t initially love work really well in context. It’s crazy, but I might like this better than Wildflower in the long run

i can see what some people are saying itt about it feeling Gorillaz-esque in how feature heavy their music has gotten

but i was never the biggest fan of when gorillaz took that direction as it made the albums sound less like a virtual band and more like an expensive exercise in A&R or something

on this album tho i think they manage to blur the line between sample and feature pretty well and avoid that problem. the whole thing really works as an album and feels greater than the sum of its parts
