Hollywood turnaround times are pathetic. Like the idea of waiting this long in an instant gratification society is so laughable.

It’s one thing if you’re like an auteur filmmaker doing your own thing but you’re making super hero movies, honestly you should’ve easily been able to get a sequel finished by now. What are you Hollywood people doing?

There has to be a real conspiracy here because Hollywood leaves so much money on the table

This does have some "aquaman makes a billion dollars then doesn't get a sequel till way later when the dceu is ending and buzz is dead" vibes

not only that, they have literally decades of material to pull from for inspiration. and there was talk years ago of the script progressing nicely. so idk what happened or what the deal is.

some dude said that they were having trouble finding an available sound stage. not saying it isnt tru bc of tight scheduling but idk man...

this is so funny. i remember getting FLAMED on here for saying the movie was mid when it came out and here we all are.

like someone said, the movie in theory is good. great even. and you can see it in certain moments during the movie. but it just has so many misses (gordons entire character. alfred. plot convenience of selina kyle being RIGHT there for bruce to see and use her. the movie ending like 2 different times ect) and that, no joke, kills so much of the momentum that the movie creates for itself. its real time shooting itself in the foot.

TB was a first-watch classic (saw it at the theatre, which does help to heighten one’s appreciation for a movie).
I tried to watch it a second time (at home), but I couldn’t do it and I never went back to it
It made me question if the movie was ever really that great.. It has some nice moments though. And Robert Pattinson killed it as usual.

It’s impossible to rewatch it’s the definition of a one watch or imax classic . Whoever decided to keep that joker tease is an absolute imbecile

But that was a deleted scene
The Joker is so played out though so there’s little to no excitement that could be generated seeing that character onscreen again

Even though rumors of them having s***on set lol.

Like the movie was a good foundation if they were more ready with all parts of 2

    Question is why

Is it payback for not signing up to join dcu? Or Was reeves the only one to actually stop writing during the strikes lol?

I definitely believe Reeves wasn't writing during the strikes, but it should've been on track for 2025 despite that.

Feels more likely that WB is moving funny. I think someone posted in this thread that the rumored reason for the pushback was WB slacking on booking the stages for filming. If true, why would you wait so long to get a BATMAN movie of all things to get started? S*** made $800 million and a sequel is almost guaranteed to make that much or more.

  • Pathetic. How does it take so long to come up with a script? There's also every possibility that this gets pushed back to 2027 or even 2028 with the way these studios operate.
