how you think a realistic mr freeze would go
They would have to ground it in science
how you think a realistic mr freeze would go
They call him freeze because the terror he puts on others makes them feel frozen and stiff
He freezes the assets of the rich so they know what its like to be an orphan boy left in the cold
Dark knight really done irreversible damage to batman as a whole.
The Dark Knight has, at least in hindsight, done more damage to comic book movies than good. It not only launched DC’s weird obsession with “dark and gritty” that led to Snyder’s failed vision, but The Dark Knight also cultivated this weird mindset of comics not only being for kids. Which is fine, but I feel like part of The Dark Knight’s legacy is try and distance yourself from the source material. Nolan was clearly embarrassed to make a real Batman movie. So he used Batman as a vehicle to explore post-9/11 America.

im not mad its jus funny yall asking for villains like clayface and mr freeze still
We need to move beyond early days batman
Desperately man. S*** is more tired than the hyper realistic thing imo

i think the main issue is the other iterations of Batman we get still aren't the ones they want lol so the cycle of complaints becomes endless
Like people are talking about early days Batman when we had Affleck, but again that's not the one they wanted. And then with Gunn's coming which will also be a vet with apparently more fantasy, that probably won't ease them either because they don't want Gunn's vibe and potential humor attached
I don't really think at this point with the variety of things people want out of Batman that there's an approach that across the board would silence everyone. There's just eras where many will be happy and some wont
how you think a realistic mr freeze would go
First off I apologize for my late response brudda man
But I honestly think if you make him like a less fantastical Metal Gear Solid villain it could work

It’s very interesting to watch cuz Reeves Batman doesn’t feel anything like the other iterations at all period.
Like Nolan’s “grounded” and Reeves “grounded” are two different things. Like in the first Reeves movie the Riddler succeeded in flooding the city bro

The only early days Batman media we’ve had prior to Reeves one was Batman Begins back in 2005 though.
Snyder’s Batman he was already grizzled and tired with a dead Robin lol

Maybe it just feels that way bc everyone talks about wanting to do Year one type stuff
Could also be that way since the last major trilogy did start with Begins. I feel like people just wanna see Batman be Batman be Batman atm not go through growing pains

Yea but also the context of both stories is important as well. In Batman Begins, we see Bale come up with the concept of the identity and go through the motions.
Battinson is already a better detective from the jump and has made enough a name for himself that he's a myth by the time the opening credits roll

That’s a fair point. I like The Batman don’t get me wrong. My initial point was that I’m just not interested in the sequel being set two months later since it’s still early in his career but I’m open to being proven wrong by reeves
Just not exactly where I saw things going with the way the first ended I suppose

I agree. And also people like Zack pick and choose a lot. Being embarrassed by comic booky s*** then forces Dark Knight Returns in an alleged superman sequel

I mean that's a way to look at it in comparison to only batman begins and not other comic book movies. Riddler flooded Gotham. Begins had scare crow flooding Gotham air with nightmare vapor. So since 2006 the fanatical elements for batman solo moved up a hair.
Some audiences kinda miss it though. Went with my shorty and her friend to see bvs. The friend saw kid Bruce levitating with the bats and thought he was flying.
But that just proved surrealism and art in Batman (and in films) need a come back

But the consequences for Begins seemed to not be as severe for some reason, I might be missing context but wasn't the fear gas only a certain section of Gotham or something. By the end of The Batman they're doing air lifts in the city with helicopters and s***

I honestly kinda wish Reeves never made that statement about the realism of his movies because The Batman did feel grounded but still comic book-y to the point some fantastical elements could slip in
