But the consequences for Begins seemed to not be as severe for some reason, I might be missing context but wasn't the fear gas only a certain section of Gotham or something. By the end of The Batman they're doing air lifts in the city with helicopters and s***
No yeah you're right. I thought you meant in terms of like "villain does the big thing"-ness
And yeah just arkham chicago
Best non Joker related batman animated movie or episode?
Feel like Phantasm is the easy answer.
The Man Who Killed Batman or Feat of Clay
The last time we got a winter themed Batman sequel though 👀
I can’t help but wonder if they’re gonna remix a bit of Arkham Origins in there. I followed the co-writer on Twitter for a while and he LOVED that game. Tweeted about it any chance he got lol

Nah I was moreso pointing out how Riddler kind of won and what that means in terms of consequences and escalation

I could see it with these aesthetics
I honestly kinda wish Reeves never made that statement about the realism of his movies because The Batman did feel grounded but still comic book-y to the point some fantastical elements could slip in
You made the point that Reeve’s realism and Nolan’s feel distinctly different and I agree
Nolan’s seems to take place like deadass in America (what with using Chicago and Detroit and s***) Reeve’s made his own Gotham to play with realism in which is nice and gives its different feel than TDK trilogy. His world/ Gotham feels pretty realized and living as its own being not a standard backdrop city. Maybe there’s some room for some less than “real” stuff in there since it’s not clearly not the real world in the same way as TDK was and he is just purposely misleading us
Hopefully that makes sense idk if I explained that well

Phantasm or the Freeze episode of TAS
Nah I was moreso pointing out how Riddler kind of won and what that means in terms of consequences and escalation
Then you're right
First off I apologize for my late response brudda man
But I honestly think if you make him like a less fantastical Metal Gear Solid villain it could work
think about that statement lmao
what mgs villain would work trying to make realistic
Best non Joker related batman animated movie or episode?
The Harvey dent/2 face 2 parter of the animated series is by far my favorite, probably followed by the clayface 3 partwr
The last time we got a winter themed Batman sequel though 👀
"Bruce? What ah you doing dressed up as batman?"
"YOU GAVE ALL THE SIGNALS!"
Walken dismissing Bruce with the ultimate disrespect "YAWN" God I love this movie
It’s very interesting to watch cuz Reeves Batman doesn’t feel anything like the other iterations at all period.
Like Nolan’s “grounded” and Reeves “grounded” are two different things. Like in the first Reeves movie the Riddler succeeded in flooding the city bro
reeves batman actually learn things and has an arc too, batman begins has veeeerrryyyy little character growth for bruce

His arc was discovering he didn't actually have to save Rahs Al Gul when about to die. At the start of the movie he didn't know that
I agree. And also people like Zack pick and choose a lot. Being embarrassed by comic booky s*** then forces Dark Knight Returns in an alleged superman sequel
the whole thing with the dc universe is the comic book s*** exists in harmony with the grounded s***. it’s fantastical and realistic that’s what sets it apart from everything else

LMFAO

Think that's the main reason batman and his world/villains have so much crossover appeal compared to other heroes
think about that statement lmao

Half them niggas are literally just terrorists who blow s*** up.
What is so fantastical about a nigga like Revolver Ocelot or Liquid Snake besides Snake being a clone lol. The final boss from MGS3 was a woman who did CQC lol
Riddler flooded Gotham at the end of the movie bro

They really tried to market this movie with McDonald’s toys lmao

I'm sure the kids loved seeing a bloody Penguin fall to his death with sad tragic music playing and sad penguins carrying him away
The DCU Batman is coming so idk why yall are all complaining about this grounded iteration
Yall just keep talking about how much you hate grounded Batman on every page itt
I love The Batman. It’s my favorite Batman film because it’s actually about Batman. Reeves’ movies may be grounded, but it feels heightened compared to Nolan’s trilogy. My overall point was the legacy of The Dark Knight has been more of a net negative as opposed to positive. A lot of people view The Dark Knight as a big watershed moment that gave comic book films credibility. In a way, sure, but it feels like it was embarrassed to be a true Batman movie. The Batman clearly wasn’t.
