americanpost.news/the-batman-includes-songs-from-joy-division-the-cure-new-order-and-more
I doubt they’d use any of these artists songs, but it would be sick lol. Imagine Blue Monday in the iceberg lounge scene
DC really letting Reeves do whatever tf he wants with the Batman universe. Love to see it

Holy s***????
Damn this is gonna be lit
well it had to have been some kind of mob boss in the movie and im glad it wasn't the penguin but falcone could've been saved for a future movie or just kept alive idk i thought it was an alright performance but what threw me off was how he was used to support other characters instead of being his own character when he's arguably the main villain.
him being tied to the crimes of batman's parents and possibly being involved in the murder of batman's parents is cool but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. its something to chew on that leaves no taste, not because we never truly figure out who killed batman's parents, but because it's the kind of information that would leave an impact on batman or the story but it doesn't.
him being catwoman's dad is interesting but they don't really do much with that imo. they give him all these close ties to these characters but it doesn't end up developing himself as a character or developing these other characters (besides penguin but i think that's mainly because he is the yin to falcone's yang).
it just ends up as meaningless (imo) information which is why i said he didn't need to be in it but tbh, i take that back. i think they needed a mob figure (someone who could reasonably influence politicians and police) and falcone works but i wish there was more to him, especially because he is incredibly important in the movie
I agree. There were a few bombshells in this movie but it wasn't fleshed out enough to feel the impact overall. This would have worked better as like a 10 part TV show imo
I really love the contrast between the 2 different times Bruce pulls up to the Iceberg Lounge
The first time he pulls up as Batman, and he immediately asks "do you know who I am?" while making full eye contact. And he is standing up straight, full of confidence
The second time he shows up as Bruce, and once again asks "do you know who I am? "... but this time he can't make eye contact. He's hunched over and looks withdrawn and lowkey shy
Just a really dope and nuanced way to show how Bruce's confidence is solely rooted in the Batman persona

yeah part of a pandemic-ish thing they're continuing to do
in 2021 it was same day releases on hbo max for Warner Bros movies (crazy lmfao) but for 2022 they staggered the release by providing a 45 day theater-exclusive window
going to rewatch the s*** out this once this drops though, already seen it twice and i'm still fiending
The Batman has had the box office largely to itself in its first two weeks, and it will rule the roost again in its third week, likely to yet again be the only film to even cross $10 million. While the pitch black superhero reboot faces no competitors gunning for the top spot for another week, the rest of the top ten should be shaken up this weekend with a slew of small-ish newcomers entering into the arena. Horror audiences have multiple options with the wide releases X and Umma, and the limited releases The Outfit and Alice both have some buzz.
While The Batman’s $134 million opening was the fourth best in the series (behind The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Batman v Superman), its strong hold gave it the second best second weekend in the series with $66.5 million, behind only TDKR’s $75 million. Though its post second weekend total is still behind those films, another strong hold could put it past BvS by the end of the weekend. Comparing the 12-day grosses, The Batman has a $15 million gap to close before it catches up to BvS, which is a solid possibility considering the weekday grosses of The Batman are running around $3 million ahead of BvS’ at the same time in its release. The Robert Pattinson starrer looks like it is headed to be the third highest grossing Batman film domestically, though the international numbers are harder to predict.
