oh yeh i just meant he took on that and made a whole new movement out of it but ur right, i would never discredit the great d*** dale
itâs insane the copycats they birthed from way back in the day as soon as they exploded, this for example (which is isnât a real band itâs a one man studio project, the artwork is just to fake it)
!https://youtu.be/4pZj5L9X4lIwhat a fun song tho no?
and to this VERY day, check this out:
!https://youtu.be/zrqYTa9jWoY(lol look at the cove it even pays homage to the all summer long artwork itâs the same)
these guys are very talented actually i talked to the singer songwriter heâs really nice and so is the rest of the band (i asked them to cover rio grande as a challenge lol)
they did bunch of stuff like that, songs that redoes the style of love you, they go deep, this one for example is a âtil i die song type beat:

post is facts but i think the original 'instrumental' surf rock style is the definitive surf rock style and the vocal stuff is just more of an offshoot. ex when people are talking about surf rock influence i feel they are usually talking about the d*** dale type stuff especially the distinctive guitar. instrumental surf rock is the music that sounds like surfing itself. the vocal surf rock is just (also great) music that talks about surfing
i think hes the ultimate genius of music, but i would still call a bunch of others geniuses too. hes just like the einsten of this s***

Do you think a 21st century artist will ever reach that level for you?
I feel like the amount of innovation in that time is almost impossible to top but it also feels naive to think we wonât see anymore god levels musicians

my favorite album of theirs**
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qStlMci-Xx0originally dennis brought two songs he wrote for this album: â4th of julyâ with carl on the vocals and âwouldnât it be nice to live againâ that he wanted to be the album closing track
manager jack riley (who is the one who ended up doing the lead vocals on âa day in the life of a treeâ because no one else wanted to do it as they thought it was too sad) insisted they keep the surfâs up concept and carl agreed so dennis took his songs and never used it again.
it is a crying shame as they are some of his most beautiful songs ever (â4th of julyâ was only released 20y later and âwouldnât it be nice to live againâ 40y later, itâs a crime so many fans have had to wait so long for these masterpieces) i think youâd love them
