Miles Teller as Brian Epstein
Insanely trash. Ballad of John and Yoko as a top 5 pick gives “I overplayed the actual better stuff and just discovered Past Masters” energy respectfully. Slightly overrated now by people who feel just want to make a not obvious pick but it’s becoming more obvious
My nigga you be tight about everything lmao
I’m all for being cynical against trends and industries
But sometimes I feel like people jump to the easy conclusion too much nowadays
I don’t like cinematic universes more than anyone else but the kneejerk “omg universe bad” rhetoric is a little lacking in nuance for me
It’s like y’all just memeing off headlines
This the same thought process that had people crying about an “AI Beatles song”. Which again I don’t like AI either but people just jumped out the window and assumed the worst off of a buzzword. Feels like the same thing happening itt
I completely agree with the first part of your post. "AI song" is something perfectly acceptable to blindly hate tho.
Fan casting already starting for this on X. Buckle up

Not really. Blindly hating is never smart. Those with common sense and people who actually care about the Beatles and are educated on AI in music before it became a meme in the last year, knew that AI had already been used on the Get Back film and the Revolver box set, both of which were praised by fans and casuals alike, so it was a non issue. And given Apple’s track record, no educated person with perspective on the matter would ever jump to assume that they would do something as tasteless as an actual AI fake song. It was common knowledge that it was going to be a cleaned up version of something they worked on in the 90s.
So people who claim to be “music nerds” who reacted like absolute casuals and getting duped by a sensational headline that was obviously untrue, is proof why blindly hating isn’t smart and we should always use our critical thinking skills (though sadly most don’t have them)
probably gonna get canceled after one
Oh boy! Another music biopic!
they should’ve just stopped making more after the Weird Al one
The fact this is such a controversial announcement is so funny to me. These buzzwords like “cinematic universe” and “AI” have really fried people’s brains. Nuance is officially dead.
People on their “question everything” s*** but didn’t get to the part where they question themselves and their own reactions yet don’t jump out the window over headlines. It’s not a reasonable thing to do and you play yourself every time. No matter how much you think the headline deserves your outrage, it likely doesn’t
The Beatles being a cinematic universe is not a bad idea inherently, just because you have a bad perception of cinematic universes because of recent trends or other films that have done it poorly. They legitimately have enough of a story where this isn’t a stretch, so you think they should just not do it simply because cinematic universes are common and you’re in your first cynical contrarian phase? Brainrot.
Y’all acting like these 4 men don’t legit deserve films. For a lot of bands it would be a stretch but not this one. 4 films for 4 of the most famous people ever isn’t the stretch yall tryna make it to be.

Sorry, my mistake if I wasn't clearer. I wasn't talking about that specific case concerning the Beatles (the details of which I'm not even familiar with). I was merely saying that, broadly speaking, AI songs (by which I mean fake, soulless songs emulating artists) justifiably elicit disdain. But yes, I agree that if the technology is used ethically and correctly, it can be a positive tool.
