Can’t get over just how magical this whole thing was. Being transported to a time and place and just getting to sit there.
Ram is pretty good, but I still think I prefer the first 2 Lennon albums.
I like that George and John left and made music that the Beatles set up wouldn't have let them make too. I don't think the Paul solo music had as much urgency to it.
But it's Paul McCartney so there's still a lot of classics from his solo career. That's how good they all were
none of their solo stuff is good. musically they didn't turn out anything approaching what they were doing with the beatles.

wild take. ya their best stuff was as a group but Paul, John, and George all have fantastic stuff solo
ep 1 had moments of greatness but ep 2 was phenomenal
when billy preston came in and everything started coming together
I wonder if we’ll ever get a miniseries exploration of the band’s career (a la the film of The Doors).
Their history when they were active is just so dense that it couldn’t be done any other way.

there's so many songs that are good enough to be on Beatles albums. Some that would be up there with the best Beatles songs.
Are you really saying songs like Jealous Guy, All Things Must Pass, Waterfalls, Maybe i'm Amazed, Beautiful Boy, Watching the Wheels, I'd Have You Anytime, Isn't It a Pity, Cold Turkey, Just Like Starting Over, Bluebird etc. aren't good?
I even love Only One with McCartney and Ye lol

Miniseries would be perfect. Might even need more than one series. The aftermath 70s era with them drifting apart up to John's death could be interesting too.
Needs to be done by someone who doesn't want to do a cheesy Jukebox musical though.
I think the Stones biopic movie they were talking about making would be way better as a series too
Wish they put Beatles Anthology on Disney+ too. Great in depth doc about their history with interviews before George passed
seeing the way paul just bangs out songs is incredible
also the vibes billy brought in pt 2 dude saved them lmao
This man is the same excited kid he used to be
unless you believe he died and was replaced, of course

Paul was thinking about replacing John with Billy Preston
I think he should’ve done a solo album with George, Ringo and Billy

Magical is right
Watched this yesterday after cleaning up my house with all the Christmas lights up and stuff, rolled a joint and every moment was pure bliss

This had really given me a new appreciation for Let It Be though Ive been listening way more

What a terrible take
@HeyFella i just started
Intro gives perfect context very quickly

The fact that the first thing you see after that beautiful intro is Lennon singing Child of Nature, which would later become Jealous Guy
they're on the Theory 11 website. probably my favorite deck they've released in years. so much detail, they're just beautiful.
Ringo and George Harrison are the best part of the doc. I just like ringo’s vibe most of the time he’s just chilling till it’s time to lay the drums. There was one part when Paul is talking about doing something crazy for the concert, and ringo has this look like wtf is this guy talking about. Ringo chilling with Paul’s daughter is cute. George being the youngest and trying to have a voice in a band with Paul and John is crazy. Glad he would stick up for himself. Like when he’s working on a song Paul is like eh he’s like fine I’ll keep it for my album. Then Paul and John are talking about their India trip, and sounding like pretentious hippies George calls them out on it. Also it’s very cinematic how when he quits he turns off his amp then at the end his manager tries to turn it off during the concert when the cops show up and George is happy and in the groove he turns it back on. Great doc I loved it also that concert was like them doing a donda show before kanye made it cool they were so ahead of their time. imagine how in the moment their last concert was it’s crazy
