Was anyone really expecting anthem to not flop?

Nah it's not a scam. That was a valid claim at one point when they spent a long time building stuff behind the scenes, but if you take a look at what's possible in that game nothing else even comes close.

It's also completely crowdfunded so it takes more time than if a publisher threw them a 100 million dollar budget at the start

Literally the only saving grace is the music and to a lesser extent Shadow's portrayal in the game

Real for H1Z1. That game had soooo much potential, I still hop on every now and then to see if I can get a game with decent numbers lol

First thing that comes to mind for the topic is Halo tho. Ever since Halo 4 came out, the player pop hits the most insane drop after the first month and then people (except for the die hards) forget the new game exists lol

Shadowrun’s FPS for 360 flopped too even tho it’s literally the best shooter ever made. Sad af

NMS ended up being an underdog flop tho. Since release, they've routinely released tons of patches and added content (for free) and it's virtually a whole different game that looks pretty great
