I thought Haddish did well when she had something to work with. For a movie scarce with dialogue I didn’t like the dialogue too much. Good story
Incredible that this film got put in theaters at all. Felt like a real throwback
saw someone walk out of the theater 30-40 minutes in, good amount of older couples in my screening
it was good but not as good as first reformed IMO
like some have said, tiffany haddish scenes felt unnecessary. that whole relationship aspect just didnt work for me
also barry keoghan instead of tye sheridan wouldve hit
overall still a very good movie
i didnt know it was about him being at abu ghraib at all but when they show the prison i immediately recognized it. im glad that a movie like this talks about it

yeah the screener
its coming all the way in december cinemas here
the house at the end is like 10 minutes from my childhood home, VA is full of spooks like Dafoe
Thought Haddish was good in this btw. Everyone had great performances in this film but of course Isaac had the best one
Really loved this, I do feel like the two storylines could easily fill up 2 hours on their own.
Oscar killed it, Tye killed it, I enjoyed Tiffany tbh
That one particular shot of Dafoe was crazy
had no idea this was about abu ghraib first reformed and now this, schrader making movies of the current moment unlike anyone else
Even for Schrader felt a little too austere at times and he’s made more thorough character pieces but still really liked it. Would be surprised if this isn’t in my top 5 for the year. Gonna have to check out his cut of the Nicolas cage CIA movie
God everyone acting except for Oscar Isaac and Defoe acting is terrible
God everyone acting except for Oscar Isaac and Defoe acting is terrible
Yea Tiff was lowkey terrible in this
God everyone acting except for Oscar Isaac and Defoe acting is terrible
This was the worst part of the movie
