Which is the superior Dr. Dre album
I always used to prefer 2001, but recently The Chronic really clicked with me and now I’m not so sure. That album just has so much energy and aura to it.
I’d say 2001 has more versatility, but The Chronic does what it does better than most of 2001. What does KTT think?

Yeah, I think I might take The Chronic too.
I feel like the rapping is technically better on 2001, but the more simplistic bars over the G Funk whistles and hard hitting drums of the Chronic kinda make a better overall package

G Funk is such a timeless sound

It’s a shame we’ll probably never get Detox to complete the trilogy

G Funk might honestly be one of the most consistent go to sounds that will almost always sound good if executed correctly.
